People, that add is for AirAsia X and not for AK... the fleet that the advert states, A330 OR A340, those are widebody.

How on earth the freshies could get experience on EFIS/glass cockpit a/c if they are not recruited immediately after graduated from academy?......... :<.<:

An excuse by the management to recruit foreigners perhaps, by telling DCA that there is no qualified LOCAL candidate to fill the slot? ....... :=\:

No wonder I heard a rumor from a janitor at LCCT that AK will open the door for Filipino to join soon .......... :<.<:

I agree with that, now even tiger airways also only recruit FO with thousand experience for their a320 fleet. I think there will be less experience pilot after 10 years

That could be the plain truth why private funded fresh graduates' chance of getting employed by commercial airlines are marginally slimmed down or almost eliminated...especially if juz fresh graduated with no type ratings....
What more these airlines do have their own cadet pilots under their own sponsorship training program to take care of in term of priorities; when they are graduated. And this cadet training is an on-going exercise such that these airlines do have their own supply of cadet pilots..
It is truly a blessing for those who join the airlines under their cadet programs with job secured at the end of their training...
