Oh yes definitely. And I agree with you that there's a very slim chance for me to get an interview without knowing anyone in AK.

I guess that was an advantage to me but then again I wasn't the only one who was called up for the interview.

If i remembered correctly, you used a cable as well by handing in your application through a AK pilot. I'm sorry that you didn't get call up from AK and other airlines.

Perhaps you want to use my big fat cable to get an interview with AK? But from what you said, I'm guessing that you have something against fresh pilots using cables. Correct me if I'm wrong but if you feel like you do not need any cable then it is fine :D.

yes you are right. Many of us sent our application through AK pilots. Because the security guard not allowed us to go into AirAsia Flight Opts. AK pilots helped us bring the resume to HR. Cannot consider as cable actually. They can't help us get a chance to sit for ATPL Test.

Well, its normal didn't call up by airlines. Too many fresh grad are jobless now.

I just feel abit unfair. I didn't say I against those who use cable. Everyone also wish they will have big fat cable as well. You will have the same feeling when you are on same situation as us.

Well that was an advantage to me and I'm glad I had the chance to grab it. Yes I wont feel the same as you cause of obvious reasons. Anyway we are going way off topic cause this post is about intakes for Airasia and Firefly. If you wish to talk more about cables/jobs with airlines then perhaps you should start a new post and I'll be glad to join you there.

On the other hand, I've just heard that Firefly won't be hiring anytime soon. So I'm quite sure there won't be any intakes in June.

I heard about that too. AirAsia confirmed no more intake for this year. Firefly I just heard about it recently.

well, i am uncertain about the intakes, but i can confirm that there are at least 3 batches of cadets from AK who are still in the flying academy

hi veejay, i'm not in the Oct or Jan intake. Just went for the interview a few weeks back with a few other people and currently waiting for AirAsia's reply which they said will take 3-4 months.

Thanks alot. I was very lucky during the interview as there were only two F.Os who conducted the interview instead of the captains. Can't remember their names though.
