that is just normal..
when u flare...
and end up in ballooning...
what happen if u still remain the throttle idle...
u might end up first fly a couple of feet...
n then when the the speed is too low and the stall warning come...
you will sink...
and the result is...you will end up having a A VERY HARD LANDING

BUT
if you are balloning...
n then you take another couple of feets..
the speed continuously decreasing until the stall horn come...but...
this time you add a lil bit of power...
so you have a bit ''lift'' there...
and you might end up cushioning a bit your landing...

Well said... But stall horn during landing is normal to light aircraft..
and FYI, eagle is categorised as Super-Light aircraft..
True story..

sometime there are something problem with the stall warning switch at the leading edge of the canard which mean the switch is loose and easy for them to complete the stall warning circuit, this was what happen during my ppl time, you will find out that different eagle 150B will have different characteristic from the aspect of power, climb performance and so on....even they are still the same eagle 150...

for big aircraft..not necessarily the lighter, the smoother the landing..it also depends on the wing span..aircraft such as boeing 747 has bigger wing span compared to 737,and it is much2 more heavier..bigger wing span has greater ground effect..it will cushion the landing better, thus, the landing may be smoother..but dat aside, the skill of the pilot is vital..during landing,if i felt my sink rate is too high,i'd quickly increase the power just a little bit and cut it just before touch down..don't let the nose go down abruptly..hold until the speed decreases n gently release the pressure on the column..

Honestly, what you should do is once you have ballooned, fly Straight and Level and then commence the flare again. Experience in a Cessna 172 Skyhawk.

I know its a little late for a reply, but that statement in bold does not work on a Jet. Jet engines take time to spool up before they provide you the thrust you need. Try doing that on a jet a/c and you'll end up using half the runway length which equals to a BIG NO NO.. a Go-Around must be initiated.

Cheers and god speed.
