A new flight school has opened in Indonesia operated by Merpati Nusantara Airlines. This is the Grand Opening Ceremony of the school conducted just last month.

Cost of PPL, CPL and IR is about $52,000 USD. They also quote a straight CPL/IR for $38,000 (assuming you already hold a PPL from elsewhere).

I doubt that price includes multi-engine rating and multi-engine IR. Best to enquire direct to them at the website. They're using Cessna C172 for their training aircraft.

Just heard that Merpati Pilot School graduates in the first batch will be offered guaranteed employment with Merpati Nusantara Airlines as an F/O upon successful completion of the course. Merpati are expecting to lease up to 30 more turbo-props this year including the ATR72, SAAB 340B and Xian MA60. What a great start to one's career as a pilot with guaranteed employment once you graduate with your wings!
