reason please......maybe can give ideas to them who would like to join a flying school..


the things that cadet pilots might hate:

1) Bloody instructors - can affect flying hours also
2) Timetable got changed in last minute - can affect flying hours
3) Aircraft unserviceable - snag! affects flying hours
4) Bad weather - affects flying hours
5) Monday assembly- for some cadet pilots maybe?
6) Still got so many flying hours to be collected after they realize there are few months left
7) If their colleague crashed an aircraft- less aircraft,- affects flying hours
the things that ground crews will love:

1) Aircraft snag... it can be extra leaves for them..if waiting for parts from...overseas?
2) Bad weather...no flying, no work....go home ..haha

what i was saying ..there's already 1 batch at AWA from Airasia..they have started the course since last month..

I wonder how Airasia is gonna manage their license conversion when they get back. Obviously they cant bypass DCA's regulation.

HI everyone...I'm new here...I visited HMA and MFA before,What is good about MFA is that it's buildings are well equipped ,qiute professional environment BUT the aircrafts are a little too old as compared to HMA.Furthermore HMA's base is at Lngkawi international airport,it will give you a better environment too..but the buildings in HMA are not really that organised because they converted a hotel and a college to hostels and flying school[not that syok lo]...this is what I know....hehe

I think APFT is your best bet if you're gonna take your flying course here in Malaysia. Most of the equipments are still new and most of the lecturers there are former MFA lecturers. Lol. And if Im not mistaken, APFT have a bond with Air Asia to supply them with pilots. So I think Ill go to APFT after i finish my SPM. Guys, am I doing the right decision?

Pure rubbish.. That's just a marketing strategy for APFT. No such thing. Further more, I know guys from APFT and HMA who actually tells me that the total 200 hours that they collected are not practical flying but most of the Twin-Engine phase are done in a SIM.. And these guys are telling me that they should have joined MFA since everything is new now only the Aircraft is old but it gets the job done. Plus you get more "Real" flight experience on the Twin-Engine instead of clocking hours on a Sim..

At the end of the day, Its still your decision.

wow... im really speechless. so does this makes MFA the best choice then? zzz. ive got mixed feelings about whether about doing my course here in Malaysia or just do it overseas and do a coversion. Aih...

Guys I have some current info about few flying academies in Malaysia.

ITNS - Joined last year July (15months) - Clocked around 50 hours currently doing CA6 and CA2...
KLIFA - Joined last Year March (19 months) - Clocked around 50 hours... finished CA6 and CA2
MFA - Joined last year June (16 months) - Finished 165 Single Engine now doing Twin Engine Phase... Finished CA6 and CA2

MFA's 2 new flight simulator just arrived. I guess will be ready soon.
30 hours out of 200 hours will be in SIM... 20 hours SE and 10 hours TE...
