Hi, guys. I am new here and the one who is looking for those following info of APFT. I would like to know how many aircrafts total they have, how many students are studying there and how many instructors are working for APFT. If someone knows anything about those matters, please kindly share that info with me and it would be much appreciated. Thank you.

Hi, would like to try and update u all on APFT's progress.....

On monday 29th June, APFT welcomed the latest batch 26 comprising of 12 MAS cadets and 12 private cadets. This was the first MAS batch that is sponsored by MARA as you all know had a memorandum of agreement in June 2008 to help sponsor MAS cadets to train at APFT. This is however, the 8th batch of MAS cadets trained in APFT. Batch 1-11 have already graduated within the said 20 months, and now APFT has 230 cadets under going their integrated training course.
The fleet available at APFT comprises of own and leased aircraft. Total fleet is 31 comprising of Diamonds DA42, Piper Senecas PA34, Diamonds DA40s, Piper Warrior II, the Eagles and the newest edition- the HELICOPTER R44. The Diamonds are fitted with glass cockpits. APFT also has the latest ALSIM AL200MCC and ALSIM DA42 Simulators available for their cadets.
Total number of very experienced instructors- 42 comprising of local FIs and international FIs from India, Singapore, Pakistan and Myanmar.
APFT has been in operation since 2006 and has been providing excellent service to its clients and cadets. Accomodation, food and transportation are provided for their comfort.
APFT conducts the PPL, CPL/IR and frozen ATPL together with the Diploma in Aviation (Pilot Training), Assistant Flying Instructor Course and also Jeppesen English Aviation Test.

238 cadet already passed out, meanwhile there are 219 cadet in APFT + batch 28 (joining 5/10/09)..

they got 46 instructors + 6 (on training)..32 aircraft + 10 (in ordering stage)

so far so good~

Heard that there is one flying instrutor came for interview today, who is he? Anybody saw him?

31 aircrafts and 41 flying instructors? wah that is alot~
but well~ just want to clarify something,

First - 31 aircrafts, but how many aircrafts are serviceable in same time?
Second - students there average graduated within how many months?

Why I want to ask this questions? the reason is because APFT's aircrafts are more than MFA but why their students still slower than MFA students?
part of AirAsia Cadets from Batch C7 (if I'm not mistaken) joined APFT last year December, most of them clocked not more than 20 hours and also still doing ground school now. Another 6 AirAsia cadets from batch C7 joined MFA on February this year. They finished CA6 and next 2 weeks will be their CA2. Average they clocked more than 30 hours.

31 aircrafts ya~ the figure is really sound alot and its more than MFA. Currently, MFA has 27 aircrafts but serviceable only around 18-20 aircrafts.

1. The difference between 27 and 31 aircraft is small especially when aircraft needs to be maintained i.e, have checks, etc. So serviceability is about the same.

2. In APFT students are programmed and taught in batches or classes and they progress together. We do not have express-lane for fast learners and leave behind the laggards. We ensure the whole batch finish together. They also have other activities and work as a team and get additional tuition in Management and Aviation English.

As required by the contract, all cadets in each batch finished within the contractual period. That is the reason we can have our graduation ceremony together.

I'm just wondering..there are so many cadets that have been graduated and still many of them who are still training..how bout the chance of graduated from APFT been hired by airline company? from of them who graduated, how many of them have been working with airline company?

Just a hand full of some lucky ones who gets hired by the airlines just after they graduate, others are not so lucky as they have to wait at least ONE year +.. and for some ONE year +++..

Heard that around 10-15 new A/C coming in this mid year...
