are there lots of job vacancies in australia??

Selected to be in SFTC? as long you got the money, you select SFTC not they select you (provided you meet the basic entrance requirement).

Jobs in Australia? well, since you are not yet exposed to how things work, as long as you are a foreigner no one will hire you in Australia to work in any commercial airline. You can only end up flying GA but still they've got oversupply of pilots in this line. In simple words, after getting your Australian CPL, you gotta come back to Malaysia and convert your license. This again costs a lot of money and time.

Your best choice is to join a local flying school and obtain your CPL/IR with frozen ATPL, your pathway will be lot easier this way. Don't end up like people blindly went to Philippines and Australia thinking things would be a lot cheaper and quicker. All of them ended up spending more time and money later on, a lot are still jobless and wondering around.

I encourage Malaysians to go overseas. After that, returning for DCA M'sia licence conversion. This is the one and only fastest track!

Below are some suggestions for Malaysians.

Number 1. Do flight training in local AFTO if you have no choice
1. Super slow and it takes forever.
2. Getting expensive.

Number 2. Do not go Australia for flight training
1. Australia is one of the most freaking expensive flight training countries!
2. Helping the Orang Puteh Flying Instructors to gain flying hours is posing a future hazard for your own the job employment market! I have seen with my own eyes orang-puteh being hired instead of Malaysians!

Number 3. Consider Singapore Flying College
1. It is in Australia (can't be helped)
2. The flight training in SFC and licence issued by CAAS can be directly converted to DCA M'sia. All theory papers will be accredited and accpeted by DCA M'sia. Therefore, no need to resit ATPL papers administered by DCA M'sia. Only 35 (ME) flying hours may be required to be done in Malaysia AFTO..

Number 4. Consider Canda or U.S.A
1. It is alot affordable than anywhere else in the world. Much cheaper than Australia!
2. Good flying experience. Many experience orang-tuah willing to do one-to-one training.
