Intro my self before asking question. Afiq hakimi from malaysia. Currently working with MRO in singapore and holding CAAS sar-66 license. I tried to search for an answer in google/yahoo etc and also in this forum but to no avail . I plan to convert my CAAS to Malaysia DCA because as per CAAS air leg, when a person (Non-PR or citizen of spore) holding CAAS license but not working under SGP registered company, for my case I cannot renew my CAAS anymore

My Q is how do I convert my CAAS to DCA and can I totally ‘scrap’ my CAAS after convertion.

Do like everyone else, sit for the DCA's Paper 1 examination (Air Legislation).

so i have to register with DCA for the exam? from their web site?.
my next Q , if i pass the exam and get the DCA license, can i don't renew my CAAS?. on my DCA (if) will my apprv type rating from CAAS will be printed on?

Not at all.
There is a form to be filled. Maybe downloadable via web, I am not sure.
Some fees to be paid. Submission is by last Thursday every month.

If you passed (no reason why you should not), you will be issued a DCA's AMEL based on your CAAS license.
For the existing license extensions acceptance and endorsements, you have to talk/write to DCA.
You can let your CAAS license lapsed without worrying about your DCA license provided you renew it every 2 years and have relevant experiences that warrants it's renewal.
