MIAT offers two group of TAME.
The first one is 'Diploma in Aircraft Maintenance Technology' which is from US.
The second one is 'Diploma in Engineering Technology' which is from EU.

My question is which one to choose? and what's the difference between both.

Got this info from KL Uni office in Jalan Sultan Ismail, KL. The US one 'Diploma in Aircraft Maintenance Technology' is for 7 sem 3.5 years RM35K and the UE one 'Diploma in Engineering Technology' is 6 sem 3 years RM30K.

The DET from EU is follow the module for EASA Part 66 certifying staff. Meanwhile DAMT from US, is compatible for LWTR MCAR.

Getting into Miat is very difficult. So many people apply. For some 200 - 300 places, there are some 3000+ applicants. I did not get the July 09 intake but got into the January 2011 intake.

if getting into is very difficult,, when you are in then you know what the world can offer you. Get ready for a trade off that you can offer to the world.

huh?difficult ke?..i thought it's easy.if you don't get really good result in SPM,still can join..erm..they offer good course,the instructors and lecturers are experienced.but u have to be very patient with the management and Finance dept because the way they manage MIAT seriously like hell..trust me.

just to let u know,doesn't mean to bring down your confidence.go there,study hard.do your best.start focus start from sem 1 and don't stop until last semester.GOOD LUCK!
