ok...from what i understand
last time....those old aircrafts such as boeing 747-200,737-200 and many more..require a third person in the cockpit...
1st person in the cockpit is the captain...
2nd is the co-pilot
and the third one is the Flight engineer...
so what does this flight enginneer do...
one of its job is to monitor some aircraft instruments and gauges such as pressure, hydraulics, and many more ...
while captain and co-pilot sitting next to each other...a flight engineer seat usually located at the back of co-pilot seat...
but as time goes by...due to the growing of new technology....new aircraft is now equipped with some new ,high ,awesome and realiable technology...which is the computer(PFD+MFD+EICAM)...and this computer has the capability to do all the flight engineer job..
and so today u can see many new aircraft now doesnt require a flight engineer...
thus today this job is now more or less extinct..

and for the aircraft engineer...
they do everything which related to repairing ,maintenance of the aircraft
and many more...

Correct me If im wrong :=\:

as they told u, there is no longer any need for FE and they already throw the FE seat into museum long while ago. :<.<:

what they have now, is test flight engineer. how to be that.... study like hell, and get yourself a pilot license too.
for aircraft engineer/line man, 2 ways, buy your own ticket, or join some airlines, they might buy for you if you are handsome :><.:
