HI everybody..long time im not online here...busy working lately.. :))

anyway, this is a good question..but i assume nobody cant answer it...

so if u dont mind, can u tell everybody here what will be happen if the fire switch is activated?

in some airplane, hydraulic power and the fuel system will be cut off automatically when the fire emergency switch is activated..normally it is operated by electrical power and its controlled by the panel in the cockpit...hydraulic shut off valve and fuel shut off valve normally situated near a pump that will be provide pressure for the system and it will be close when the fire emergency handle is activated..but this is a basic reference only..i never work on A320..so what is your words? :)

I can't explain in detail but the purpose of the Engine Fire Push Button switch is to isolate the entire engine from the system. Like you said, it shuts the fuel and hydraulics line so the fire does not spread. By doing so, the Fire Extinguishing Agents become more effective in doing its job.

Not much, need to refer the books for more details.
Cheers!..

hi Maverick...anyway that's a good answer :)

Anyway, maybe i can add some info regarding this action..there are many actions when we pull or push the button for engine fire push button switch..in some airplane,i refer to the basic airplane, when we push the button for fire push button switch there are many sequences will be happen..not just hydraulic and fuel is affected, but bleed air produce by an engine is automatically shut off in the first stage and the fire extinguisher system direction valve also in positioned..when direction valve in position,it will automatically armed the extinguisher agent fire switch and then fuel valve will be closed and the starting control circuits will be de-energized. After that, hydraulic valve and oil shut off valve will be closed automatically and engine automatically will be totally shut down in the final stage..(for turboprop engine - feathered)..hope this helps Maverick ;)

Copy and paste directly from A340-300/600 FCOM 1, A330-300 should be the same .....

The pilot pushes it to release it. It pops out, sending an electrical signal that performs the
following for the corresponding engine :

— silences the aural fire warning
— arms the fire extinguisher squibs
— closes the low-pressure fuel valve
— (A340/A330−300: closes the engine fuel return valve)
— closes the hydraulic fire valve
— closes the engine bleed valve (on the related and adjacent engine - A340 Only)
— closes the pack flow control valve
— cuts off the FADEC power supply
— Deactivates the IDG (A340 only)

Hi all..i got a one question here regarding the engine system.

Anyone here working with turboprop engines?if someone can help me,i really appreciate it.

When we install bleed air regulator valve, why we must get a same pressure with the other symmetrical engine?let say engine no 1 bleed air pressure is about 50 psi and engine no 4 should be get a 50 psi too..it also same with engine no 2 and engine no 3..the pressure should be the same..it cant be different within the symmetrical engine..why we must get the same pressure within the symmetrical engine? can someone help me?
