Aeroprecision - Aviation Training Centre (APR)

Postby cheaptrick » Sun Nov 08, 2009 11:26 am

I am looking to find a good aviation school to first start my aviation career. I found an institution that offer the course according to my needs. The course fees are also rather affordable. I'm wishing to first start my aviation career starting from the entry level as an asisstant aircraft mechanic and go up to become aircraft mechanic when i have obtain enough experience.

For me, in aviation industry its better to learn it yourselves and working with life aircraft than going through a course that takes a year or 2 to complete and then start your carreer. It's better in my opinion, to have gain basic aircraft knowledge hands on. By gaining knowledge hands on, not only I gain life aircraft knowledge and experiences but also i'm getting paid. I've seen the carreer path that the AEROPrecision has offered and the path to take LWTR test and become a LAME is possible. To become a LAME is my ultimate goal.

Looking through their website, the training centre have gain enough establishment from the matter of students they are undertaking. Former students includes military army, airlines company staff and so on. This prove that their course is highly competitive. For those who had any own or family related experiences on this training centre please share.

I wishing to take on the course of Aircraft Mechanic Level 1. This course takes only 2.5 months to complete, is it enough to enter the aviation industry at an entry level? More over, since the APR has many links with many airlines such airasia ,berjaya air and APR also is the main manpower supply to MAS, it would suggest that there will be no problem in getting to any of this airlines company after I have completed the course.

You guys can check out their website at http://www.aeroprecision.com.my/training/index.htm

thanks!!

Yup... you're more towards an ads writer~
maybe should think about joining mass comm? good potential for you~ :p

If im not mistaken, APR is the only one offer such duration of courses. If that is what you wishing and looking for, then is okay to join them. But only they could guarantee you a placement after completed the course. Or else, you seriously need to think about it. :<.<: Frankly speaking without biased, (sorry,i'd no intention to insult anyone here) you will find yourself in the position worst than Filipinos tech.... You understand what im trying to say. ;)

hehehe... no larh, i tink i'll stick with aviation..Do u mean that course is not worth it at all to take or is it after i completed the course and then i will find myself working worst than the Filipinos tech??? is the Filipinos tech are worst enough? i did called APR and ask them about the course.. they told me that i would start as assistant technician after i complete the course.. she also told me, it would be easier to enter the industry with such certificate(Aircraft Maintainence Level 1) than applying the assistant technician job with just a SPM..my question arose, do aviation company accept any candidate who only a spm leaver to work as assistant technician?? Is it true if i have the Aircraft Maintainence Level 1 certificate i will find it easier to enter the entry level job in aviation??

Sincere apologies to all Filipinos tech, if i caused you any hard feeling. I really doesnt mean that~ :(

Let me clarify this. First of all, Filipino techs are really damn good if they able to make their way out to overseas.
And what i really what to advice cheaptrick is.... majority of Filipinos tech are with low qualification but with abundances of experiences. The reason they are widely welcomed is their salary is not high like others but of course with loads of experience and skills, they straightaway can jump into work without much training needed.
Let's say if you completed a cert like that, but obviously 2.5 mths training is like almost nothing. Wonder what they can teach in such short period of time. :<.<: (not insulting to APR)... And ONLY IF they're able to guarantee a job placement in the industry for you. Or else you cant compete with those Filipino tech in this market. Aviation maintenance is talking about millions dollar aircraft business, they would not let someone without knowing what he is doing to work on their aircraft. Am i make myself clear for that?

OMG.... cheapstrick! you're putting me into so much troubles!!!! Use your common sense~

hope that no filipinos tech are reading this..

urm..ur right sepeng when you're talking about it would be barely nothing to learn about aircraft in a matter of short amount of time(2.5months), but maybe it would help me when the course has completed and i later move in the working experiences. We learn when we work right?? So why not learn as we gain knowledge and also gain money at once? Maybe i wont become an aircraft technician during a year or two but I learn hands on from technician and practically it would be easier for me to gain the aircraft technician knowledge and letter move on to become an aircraft technician..

From what I know, APR has lots of connection because the boss of APR is ex-DCA???
But that does not guarantee any jobs!

Agreed. Pretty much the same when you graduated from any college or universities, right?
In this instance, APR is giving you a basic qualification into a high skills required industry so that you have minimum entry qualifications to be accepted. (Aircraft Mechanics Level I).
Nothing is guaranteed but with the ever shortage of manpower locally, why would they not accept you? Where else can they get their manpower?
APR is also a vendor for MAS supplying manpower. No job? Think again!
The MD (Managing Director) of APR is an ex-DCA surveyor, which is one of his known position in the aviation circle, has a good reputation, certainly any organisation would accept his trained men.
