the more i think about EASA,the more it makes me wonder why people r so excited about it.i mean,why there r more and more easa part 66 training provided by many parties,including miat. :))


the biggest question is.....Why am i learning air legislation of EASA at miat?? were not even following easa here in malaysia,yet we have to perah otak to study the ever popular official journal of european union.im not complaining though hehe

You are studying for EASA license. EASA belongs to Europe. So you must learn Europe air legislation... Otherwise you cannot get EASA license.

Same thing happens everywhere. If you go to Singapore to get a AME license, you have to learn Singapore air legislation.

It is irregardless of which country you plan to work. To get the license from a certain country / authority, you must learn the legislation of that country / authority.

I think his question would lead to why EASA? We're not EU, right?

Like shumway mentioned, its the law (of the land)!
You want to take EU's EASA license, you have to know the law of the land and that goes with any country(land) that issues the license.
Similarly with the DCA, you have to know the requirements of our MCAR! :><.:

Basically there're not much different BUT it is how it is interpreted and executed.
That's all there is to it! :^^:

i would like to ask is there any different in salary between degree-holder LAEs and diploma-holder LAEs?anyone...please help me ...thanks in advance....

No difference!
You are employed based on your DCA's AMEL, NOT diploma or degree.
Now you asked, what's the point of having a diploma or degree? :^^:
