I wanna ask a question.im currently studying at miat, and ive been told that as a miat student,i have a special privilege where i can have my own lwtr license after ive completed 6 months of maintenance jobs(and pass all the intrview, written, oral test). So,ive decided to choose lwtr over easa because easa requires 2 years of maintenance jobs after ive completed all the necessary modules.my question is,in your opinion,am i making the right choice, since ive heard that the oral test of dca is super hard and only a small portion of people succeeded in their first try.but i wont let myself to hve this impression stuck in my mind, and i decided to just go for it.so what do u guys think??

There are many cases whereby candidates passed in a single seating. Its a competency test, if you're competent there's nothing to worry. That is what the job is all about. A very competent licensed engineer! :^^:

Not at all. The keyword here is to be well prepared!
Hint: The approach of answering an oral question is much much different than the same question than in essay.
Most failures in oral is this oversight and lack of preparations.

oh i see.i guess im gonna learn more bout that in the lwtr class in miat.(luckily the class is foc).my target now is to fill in as much as possible my miat log book for the lwtr application.gotta work hard(: So,can u please generally explain to me bout the preparation that i need to do b4 sitting for the exam? just in general. i've heard that experience in the on-job-training really helps when u r in the oral test as u can see by urself how the maintenances are done.i expect the test gonna be hard, yet achievable.maybe thats why a lot of miat students choose easa cause they think they're playin it safe, they thnk don hve to collect work schedule and sit for the exam over n over.

If you're from MIAT, by all means attend the LWTR preparatory course organized! This is conducted by external very experienced engineers and this helps especially in the essay/oral questions. More often the classes started FULL(around 20) and depleting each week till it ends up with a handful like 5 students or so. Pathetic. :<.<:

darkster, use PM coz it's kinda personal in nature and you're out of thread context. ::D:
