I always wonder why those colleges still want to have a twining/collobration with Part 147 ATO?? and the worse thing, if they're twining with a university in the UK ( in Uk most of university is not approved except Kingston University )....why not making a straight application to EASA and get Part 147 Approval if they're really keen to do a EASA license course?.....what? a shortcut?...sorry there's no cutting corners here..

Good point! There's nothing so secret about Part 147 requirements, so what's the problem, right?
On the same note, the same with our 'unapproved' training organization. Just comply with AN1201, easy! :^^:

Jack,

I think it is harsh to say most are 'not approved except Kingston University' when there is a list of the Approved companies here. I would imagine AST is the most popular amongst colleges since it holds the most Approval Categories and is also one of the longest established.

I guess many companies do not know the regulations as well as those who already hold approvals so its easier/quicker to request collaboration.

hi silva,

i said among "Universities" in the UK, Specifically said "Faculty Of Engineering". I Know there's a list of company and college are holding 147 Approval but i believed that no one want to go for CAT C "Management role" without CAT B??...and if a person qualifying for CAT C via Degree route he/she will not be entitled to a CAT B1 or B2 unless the requirements for those categories has been met.

note: A Cat C license "alone" does not permit to ACT as a B1 or B2 certifier, If he/she want to convert to dcam, It's meaningless without Cat B.
