Actually there is some truth in that. AirAsia only wants experienced workers and since you are not, you better get the experience in the form of OJT first to qualify you to be employed. As far as technicians are concerned, AirAsia wise, you need at least 3 years experience to be offered as an aircraft technician.
Now how would you equate 3 years of OJT and experience? I suggest to speak/write to the Engineering Director or QA Manager for clarifications...

MAS @RM50 per day..
SAE @RM300 first month, RM200 subsequent month but these are corporate charges, no idea about individual.

hush4hire,
Let's say you want to do your OJT at SAE for 2 years. Can you afford RM4900 for OJT fees alone?
Forget MAS, they're charging RM50 a day because they don't want to say NO.

About the SAE, do you mind to show me the website of it?

SAE has increase it to 450 for first month and 300 subsequently..

From "ELDWEB" <ELDWEB@caa.co.uk>

Dear Sir

Thank you for your email, the job No. is preferable as it forms part of any audit trail, if there is no job number then you cannot provide one. The experience for the initial issue can be gained within Any Civil Maintenance Organisation, those persons signing off your tasks must hold the same coverage on their licence i.e. B2 tasks must be signed off by an avionics engineer.

I trust this information is of assistance.

Yours sincerely

Mrs Janet Cook
Engineering & ATCO Services Manager
