MATA is the latest ATO, getting it late last year.. No track records yet if you want to compare it to the other ATOs but there's a 'catch'.
Asked them, at the end of the training, what will you get?
Don't accept anything other than a licence (DCA Part-66 AML), not even a FROZEN LICENCE'!
There is NO SUCH THING as FROZEN LICENCE! Get it?

dear torx..
yes i agree with you, their are no FROZEN LICENCE in AME. And MATA just receive their approval last year.
And i do understand that the EASA part and BCAR Sec L part. But at least its approval ATO isn't? even if we roll in Miat, Dilog and etc its still unsure that we can get a jobs. their are a lot approval DCAM in Malaysia like Dilog, Metc, Miat and my personal fav APR.
i hope we can talk a lot about this. ~~cheers

What MATA is offering is only the THEORY part of Part-66 minus the OJT.
At the end of the course what you would have accomplished is the completion of the required modules for Cat.B.
You then need to be employed in the industry to collect your mandatory hands on experience on live aircrafts, submit these workschedules to DCA prior to the issuance of Part-66 AML.

Now, would the completion of Part-66 Modules qualify you to be employed? You have NO experience.

BTW, this is exactly what other Non-ATOs are offering.

To my knowledge there are NO LWTR holders that is not without a job, unless by choice.
Therefore it is imperative that you acquire the licence, nothing else.

Hi Cooper,

For your information, Mr. torx is a licence holder with almost 30 years of experience and of course he is one of the guy that have type rating endorsed in his licence by D.C.A which I believe B737-200 aircraft. ::D:
