APR and METC,why is there only two choices? What about MIAT,Nilai and the others?

If you want to become L.A.M.E. - then torx has given you an option of where to go - furthermore you are free to ask and inquire.

If you want a diploma - in addition to being a pilot - then its a different story - you are free to inquire at Miat, Nilai and the others.

Off course there are other Approved Training Organisation (ATO) and Universities and colleges offering diploma programs; you have to start somewhere .. .. .. ;) ;) ;)

One reason.
Both these ATOs are DCAM Part-66 AML focused. Meaning they teach you FULL time the Part-66 syllabus and at the end of the day, this is exactly what you'll get, a DCAM Part-66 Licence! :^^:

No question is a stupid question! :^^:
It may sound stupid but a question is a question.

Diploma holders are a bit more matured and at least 3 years ahead of SPM school leavers.
Based on my experience, this is very much true. Most top scorers and high achievers are from the diploma holders only a handful from SPM school leavers.

MATA only conducts THEORY part of the Part 66. NO structured OJT/PRACTICAL lah! :><.:
Hence the same duration as opposed to APR, the additional year for SPM school leavers is for additional exposure on live aircraft hence you're be on the same competitive level with the diploma holders...

the additional year for SPM school leavers is for additional exposure on live aircraft,,

is that means the practical/ojt ?
so, the spm leavers must do extra time of it?

if that's it, i get it now.. thanks for the explanation.. =p

hmm probably because the age factor,In easa requirement to certify, the minimum age is 21. I'm not sure about the DCAM requirement.. mybe same. ::D:
