Postby FaisalMcQueen » Sat Apr 23, 2011 7:21 pm

hi, my name is Faisal, 25, from Kota Bharu.
i'm new here and need advises as well exposure on the industry.
i just finished my EASA Part 66 training in MIAT and
i'm a certificate of recognition holder of both CAT B1.1 and B1.3 .
i need 2 years of working experience to get my basic license which
will be issued by UKCAA without additional conditions.

now i'm looking for a job to complete my basic license.
i already sent my resume to several companies by hand and thru email.
if theres anybody here who can share information on any company that might be hiring.

humbly asking, Faisal.
thank you

Dear Faisal,

Welcome to the most 'challenging' and 'tricky' part of your journey to get your EASA basic licence from CAA, UK.(kindly check with aero bildung how many students in their germany campus received a UKCAA issued licence?).If they said none.. :p

Then...
Allow me to take you deeper into the journey of 'un-certainty' - weee huuu... ::D:

1. You have done your theory part worth RM80K at MIAT as second site to aero Bildung - ausgezeichnet!!! (it means EXCELLENT in German)

2. You are among hundreds of non-EU citizens having this certificate of recognition for EASA Part 66 programme locally and abroad - UniKL MIAT/Nilai College/TAFE College/AATC/TAECO/CBC/Glamorgan/Kingston/Brunell/Temasek Poly/Aviation Australiea etc. .etc

3. So what's next?? You plus hundreds of EASA Part 66 'Frozen' licence holders need 2 years of working experience in order to unfreeze the licence.

4. Since you are asking for jobs in Malaysia MRO - can you ask your EASA Part 66 coordinator to answer this questions :

a) Will CAA,UK accept aircraft maintenance working experiences at a company that they have never done an audit before?? Senang cerita - the company is not approved under EASA Part 145 org. It only hold AMO approval from DCA, Malaysia

b) Since you are following EASA programme - DCA, Malaysia will not be the authority issuing you the licence - it will be CAA, UK as the authority when you want to submit your 2 years working experience. Any letter from CAA,UK in regards to this arrangements? Who will submit the working experience to CAA,UK? You as an individual? aero-bildung? miat?

c) Please answer a and b first before we move to d ...he he

Wishing you all the best bro...and do keep us posted with answers from your school in regards to this EASA Part 66 programme.

Cheers !!! 9M

hi, thanks for all d responds, juz arrived in sepang from Kota bharu.

mr singonn2,
currently i only have
1. my enterim status dat shows all my exam results
2. approval for aero bildung as approved part 147
3. letter from aero bildung that confirms my basic license will be issued by UKCAA.

from what i understand, only license issued by UKCAA will be recognize by the industry instead of the one issued by the NA of other EU countries.

trying abroad alone might be hard for me, but i have a few of my batch mate that will do so along with me.

mr ninermike,
what i can recall, only EASA license holder can sign my work schedule so that the work schedule is approved.

about the approved part 145 org and who will handle and submit my working experience, still i have to ask my coordinator.

mr jobless, gud luck for both of us. :)

if i double posted, im sorry. faulty internet connection juz now.

thnx for all the responds. very much appreciated.

mr ninermike,

i have called my coordinator asking about d questions a) and b)
answers
a) there shud be no problem collecting our work schedule in non approved part 145, if the work schedule is signed by EASA part 66 AMEL

b) the work schedule submission is handled by ourselves individually to UKCAA.

mr singonn2,
about the certificate of completed training from part 147 ATO 2 it will be issued by MIAT administration.

the certificate of recognition is issued after all my batch mate have passed their pending repeat exams.

ic... faisal pls notice that if u collect ywork schedule in non approved by EASA UK ,you maybe will meet some trouble future, lik 9M said before ,UKCAA may reject your application due blablabla security problem , tak puas hati about your work schedule , but if could get some help from manager / director apply for basic license will better than individually.

as your opinion EASA modules hard to pass? :)
