Anyhow I've met a polytechnic shah alam graduate in MAS today and what snapon said here is true. He,particularly is bound to work in utility department as a cleaner supervisor for a year in order for him to be upgraded to full-skilled vendor to work with the aircraft. However I cannot deduce that they are treated this way because they have no experience working with live aircraft. Reason being they have spent 1.5 years out of their 2.5 years course undergoing OJT in MAS premise and mind you, they have been to almost every department/workshops in-relation to their studies. According to him, quite a number of graduates from poly now working in field other form the aviation sector. I guess the diploma cert got a certain degree of usefulness after all. Sad but true
