Oh well, actually its depend on how you look at it. Having a union always have their own pros and cons. Sure, a union will fight for you, for better pay, for better working environment,for your rights etc. But tell me why AK can pay their FA more than MAS does? Why there is too many jobs cut from MAS since the 90's? Why many were ask to take voluntary long leave?
I'm not here to condemning Mas Union nor to disrespect them, that being said, unions are like any other organisation and unionists like any other people and by no means immune.
AK don't have any union but thats doesn't mean no one will help you in matter if something goes wrong, an employee will always covered by Malaysian Labour Law and there are The Ministry of Human Resources or The Labour Department or The Industrial Relations Department that will be more than glad to file in your complain.
Anyway, this is just my 2cents.
