Hi there. I do not know what is the actual reason why he is so enthusiastic and passionate towards this job. But for sure cabin crew is a job that A LOT of people want this job.
Your English is essential to becoming a cabin crew as we serve passengers from ALL nationalities, so understanding and speaking decently and acceptably fluent in English is essential. I do not know how good or how bad your level of English proficiency is but don't worry too much for your English; if you can speak then it should be fine. Just speak more and practice, read more (newspaper, books) to learn the actual and correct way of English.
Well during your interview, you do not need to do public speaking, you just need to go to the interview and answer the questions that the interviewer asks you. Think that way then you will be able to get through. If you want the job that much, you need to overcome the fear of speaking in front of a few people. In the end of the day, you will need to speak to strangers every single day, you will need to work with people you don't know every day.
About taking English course, go for it if you really want to improve. I mean you will not lose anything if you take an English course, you will gain knowledge and proficiency in English. The course might not be able to make you get the stewardess job, but you will not lose anything babe.
Last but not least, the stewardess school. I never attend those courses and those courses are pretty expensive dear. But if you really want the job so much, and if you have no financial problem, I would say no harm attending those courses. For your information, I have never encounter any of my batch mates attended those courses.
It is ok for you to ask question here and there. Most importantly, you need to contribute some effort to get this job dear. As I mentioned earlier, read this forums posts diligently and thoroughly. All the best!
