For MAS cabin crew, I understand the accommodation is self-bearable.

1. How about the transportation when on duty?
2. I heard that there will be transport provided for crew that lives in 30km radius from KLIA. Can anyone confirm this?
3. If no transport will be provided, means we have to go to KLIA ourselves, with full uniform and make up (in public transport of own transport)?
4. And if by using own transport, is the mileage and parking claimable (I supposed it is not anyway)?

I am looking for a place to stay for training in Kelana Jaya, but am worry after finish training; I will not be able to get the free transport because it is out of the 30km radius rule.

I need someone to clear my doubts. Thanks 

Hi cocopudding,I hope I can help u with this...
Q1 and 2.Transportation is provided if you are staying within 30km radius from KLIA or within the MAS van or vendor coverage area. U will get the list of coverage area when u r in the academy
Q3.If you have to go to KLIA by yourself u can go by public transport with full uniform.The best way is by taxi which can send u straight to KLIA,or u can take ERL since u can't be in other public transport with full uniform.ie LRT or bus
Q4.U can only claim mileage or taxi fare if u proceed on your own during ur standby (last minute call up) or if transport department cannot provide u transport for your duty

And if you're staying nearby Subang,u may go to Subang Hub to take shuttle by MAS van from there to KLIA

princex, thanks so much for your reply. It clears all my question marks. Now I can start to comfortably look for a room to rent in Kelana Jaya without worrying much about the transport to KLIA later on.

I am yet to start my training . Until now (1 months plus after passing the interview), I am not being told when will my training start . But looking at the second wave of walk in interview, I will start my taining quite soon.

Dun worry, everything wil b ok... Mb u can stay in shang villa during training n when u start flying, stay around bukit jalil, green avenue or desa petaling... Most of the crew do so...

Actually if u stay in KJ.. there's a pick-up at Subang Airport.. no worries..
Actually the new batch is unlucky.. they try to cut cost.. so within 30km or senior staff flight crew only can still get the transport..

or even dow theres no van pick-up (usually for cabin crew is van rite,juz incase for something worst,still have option) there still got shuttle bus for MAS & MAB staff.. i think the ticket around rm6/one way..i dunno if they increase hehe..

so u only have to use taxi from KJ to Subang Airport (not the Terminal3 or Skyparks for current name) its the MAS HR building..juz the opposite building..

does the HR building at Complex B . Complex A in front MH Hub lah. always looks tired crew waiting right there with unpleasant face
