Malaysian Maritime Agency ???

I was informed by one of my mates that Malaysian govt has placed an order for a few (unspecified) ATR72 for the Maritime Agency ........ :o.o:

Is there anyone here heard the same rumour? ....... :o.o:

I heard the offer is quite good (almost double from what FY is paying) and a group of FY pilots might jump ship if this outfit is up and running ......... :)

Good $$$$ signs for ATR72 rated guys ..... ;)

Since when is the Maritime Agency under TLDM?
I thought its an egency under the PM's Department?

I think yfardzley is right...
TLDM was quite sometime back been 'talking' about operating the maritime functions.. few aircrafts proposals were submitted and recommended and last being the ATRs...
