Did badly in SPM....

Wanting to be a pilot but not sure where to start? Clear your doubts here.

Did badly in SPM....

I'm new here, is it possible to get clearance from DCA if i didnt do well in my SPM, I failed my science papers and maths. But i have a diploma in computer science. Please advise, i have the passion and interest to be an airline pilot

You could ask DCA about this matter or google it....it's all there..but as i know you will a need reasonable results in your MATH,ENGLISH AND ATLEAST 1 OF YOUR SCIENCE PAPER.. :neutral:

Re-sit your SPM papers while saving up for your training fees. You know for sure without good results securing sponsorship for cadet pilot programme with the airline is impossible, only route for you is through self-funding. And that comes after you clear your SPM papers to meet DCA requirements.

Thanks for the info m732, how about sitting for A-Levels ? which higher than SPM.

The sad thing is you can have straight A's or CGPA 4.00 in pre-u/diploma/degree/masters, they'll still look at your SPM no matter what.

If your SPM results are about the borderline range from the requirement, you probably could appeal for the DCA approval letter.

This is pretty much true in engineering too. No matter what you have, we will look at your score at SPM level.

AFAIK, you'll need 5 credits including English, Mathematics & Science. Nothing wrong with asking though
