Cathay Pacific is recruiting Second Officers through three training programmes. Opportunities exist for aspiring aviators and experienced pilots alike. Cadet Pilot Second Officers will undertake a rigorous 61-week training programme. Successful applicants with more aviation experience will complete shorter courses, commensurate with their aviation experience.

1.Cadet Pilot Programme – a 61-week programme for applicants with low experience and no ICAO CPL.
2.Advanced Entry – a 30-week programme for applicants who possess an ICAO CPL and have in excess of 250 hours flight time in specified categories.
3.Transition Training – a 14-week programme for applicants with an ICAO ATPL, or CPL with passes in all ICAO ATPL subjects, and with appropriate flying experience for the shorter training course.


Although I think the Cathay Pacific prefers HK citizen,but it is no harm to give a try right?

do you have the schedule for their interview in different countries for 2012? if im not mistaken, they go country by country monthly for their interview!

sorry, could you please provide the link if there is any? or is it an ad on the papers? your statement looks like its copied from ther website..hehehe im not sure of their preference, but i know of malaysian's that got their CPP.

its okay, nth to be sorry about haha, well i thought they did advertise or something on the local papers...thats their web application right? as far as i remember its open all year long for us to spam our resume..hehehe

i've came across their 2011 interview schedule..thats why i asked about 2012... dont know will they be conducting an interview here this year ..eheh

oo..coz i saw the captain and first officer recruitment under pilot recruitment in the website last time..so when i found out that this time they are recruiting for second officer i thought they are opening their cpp..

hi, get confused.the position is for second officer right? so that the person with zero experience cant apply?

muya it is alright.they had already mentioned in the statement that everyone from zero experience to experienced pilot also can apply.this is because they have 3 types of training for 2nd officer program.one of them is for the ab-initio pilot.the position is for SO means that after u receive the training u will be assign as SO.
