Thought it'll burn atleast 18 months of your life. It's worth it, if you really wanna do piloting. As for now, i've gotten my results which i got a B for Physics, and i've received my DCA approval, and i've passed my IELTS exam. I'll be going to ANAC in Melb, Aussie.

Good luck to you mate, hope you make a wise choice! :)

hiya Mate,

I appreciate you for sharing your personal experience, my situation is just like yours haha.
I know it'll burn 18 months of my life but its worth it, just like you said. Happy for you to get DCA approval and to join
ANAC is a good academy as I've heard bout it. As for me, I'll wait patiently till the time comes and will sit for my Maths coming next year.

Anyways, gud luck to you too. Enjoy Aussie and Piloting life (:

After knowing all the extra hurdles of getting an overseas license when you guys come back for the conversion, I still wonder why people are going to Australia and Philippines. Good luck to you guys.

Well, who says I'm coming back for the conversion? o.O

And for those who are doing it in Philly, the cost of it is roughly RM120k ++ So atleast around RM140k in total.
Conversion let's say around RM100k max. Maximum is around RM280k only. Whereas, my cousin's leaving for HM in Langkawi in June. The cost was totalling around RM300k + So you still save money, doing oveseas.

This what confuse me..
U said u wont come back for conversion...But u need a DCA approval...
:o.o:
Anyways gudluck and happy flying...
;)

120k 140k is roughly...that doesnt include ur living cost there...
it would end up almost or more than 200k...
and by the time IF u come back for conversion it would cost u more or less around 150k..
but Aussie anything can happend... :) ;)

Where you plan to work then?

I hope you know no airline is going to hire a foreigner in a foreign land with just 200hrs in your books.

In my case, even if I'm waiting for 18 months and after that I'll be going to the
Flying Academies here in Malaysia..

I still believe Malaysia is better for doing piloting course then to other countries..

In all the aspects, MFA, APFT, HMA are bunch of fantastic FA (:
