Fly Lah!

hi guys. i am really really new. i'm thinking or pursuing my dreams in aviation, pilot to be exact. been my dream for years now. but sadly i have no knowledge about it. i have been reading some threads here, and im a little embarrassed seeing all of you know a lot about aviation. i have a few questions which i hope u guys wont mind answering.

-im wearing spectacles. but the degree is less than 200. (at least i think so) can i still pursue this dream? should i go laser my eyes?
-what is a pilot stick? seen some of u mentioning it but im clueless =.=
-and, many of the threads seem to be about people complaining about difficulties of getting jobs after completing their training. this puts me down

sorry if some of my questions have already been answered in other threads. as i said, im reaaally new.

umm and 1 more question. can anybody tell me what is the first move to make? i mean like do i wait for the MAS or AA intakes or do i go for privates?

1: no prob for that as long as it's correctible.
2: u mean side stick in airbus cockpit?

it depends on you for your first move with higher risk being self sponsored. if you go with cadetship, you are guaranteed a job(provided you don't screw it up yourself).

thx for your reply. from the threads i read, interviews are tough and scary. and takes a long time. privates are instant but jobs are not guaranteed. hmm really stressed out.
