fidez90, you're no longer joining APFT???
what happened??

from my understanding, the 15k is not refundable as it is sort of like a deposit and part of the 240k payment..

hurm.. sad to say that.. but i'm not sure yet..
i heard from my friend's uncle who's working for a local airline..
he said that around 200 cadet pilot nowadays are jobless..
he means that so many of them go for interview.. but a little of them got the job..
even MAS also reject their own cadet pilot.. <- i'm not sure bout this..
i'm been thinking... if i take bank loan.. and become a cadet pilot..
after i graduate.. if, i dont get the job..how can i pay the bank loan..?
if it is a MARA loan, i can pay a bit monthly..
if bank loan, it already has payment plan.. around RM1500 a month..
how can i pay that?
nowdays, everyone wants to be a pilot..
i have no other career left for me..
i dont like to be a doctor..after i had failed Biology in my second chance...
arrrrrgggghhhhhhh.....

I think the 15K is a non-refundable deposit as its stated in the contract/application form you submitted..

I understand bro, but this is reality and the outcome of today's airlines. Everything is slowing down for the time being but will pick up in speed as time takes its place. Stay positive, never give up and good things will come your way. :)

Good luck and Godspeed.

hey fidez90, the same issue as well bothers me.. i've been thinking what will happen after i've graduated from the academy.. believe it or not, i was as scared as yourself that day when i went to APFT that i even had the thought of giving up my dream.. but with family, friend and the instructors' advice, i realised that nothing comes easy in life.. studying in the academy is not easy, and so does trying to get a job as a pilot.. if you are to worry that much, you'll be going nowhere and you will not be able to reach your dream.. why not think about it this way.. the economy is at the slump lately.. since our course take about 20 months to complete, we might just be in time to catch up with the economy when it is booming..

nevertheless, the decision is still yours to make.. think then decide.. all the best!

being an unemployed pilot is biggest nightmare for all cadet pilots. this matter gets even worse as we r facing poor global economic situations rite now. but im positve that in a year or 2 the recessions will come to an end and economic situation will be back on its positive tracks.

fidez90, i think the best possible way is that for u n ur parents to visit apft HQ and meet their respective officers n try to negotiate if it is possible. just tell hw much u need that money back and im sure they r not that cruel to simply say 'No' to u n ur parents.

Can u guarantee that u will remain jobless in 2 years time,or 3, 4 years later??
Not many ppl were given a chance to study a pilot course. Some maybe bcoz of financial problem,Or does not meet the requirement.
So y dun appreciate the chance that u having now.

I asked my parents bout the fund..how to pay the fees.. but my parents said they will get it for me but didnt tell me the details.. Ouchh..
Right now, its one month after my Lasik surgery.. my eyes getting more better..

ory, i think so. But i must wait first for my parents said " Oklah.. Awk kena cari karier lain. Kami tak dapat sumber kewangan utk bayar kursus penerbangan. " Then, my family and I go to HQ. Thanks Ory. ::D:
