dhc-7 gonna continue operating because some of the destination of berjaya cannot be reach by atr..short runway

im not sure..but i dont think atr is a STOL aircraft..runway like redang,pangkor and tioman is so short..i think so far only dhc 7 is able to land there..correct me if im wrong..and moreover,its not only the airframe size that we should consider when we talk about landing and takeoff distance...we have to look into engine performance and flap capability...like dhc 7 it has 45 degree full flap for landing..and the reverse thrust from all 4 engines will amazingly slow the aircraft down in a very short distance...

yes i managed to get on flight to redang on my last day of working as their maintenance crew..the captain allow me to get in and have a sit on the jumpseat..thanks to captain shahid and FO norris for the cool ride..

hihi actually im not saying i dont choose AK and MAS..i just think that its good if i just have some experience with turboprop for few years before went to jet engine aircraft...just my 10 cents
